Couples Retreat: Review By Kaybaggins

First, I had no stance on whether I wanted to see this movie or not. From the previews, it looked funny, but I didn't want to get trapped by the fact that most of the time they put the best scenes in the trailer (especially comedies). I watched it anyway after a friend bought it and it was no trap! This movie has more funny scenes than the ones in the trailer. I'll be it, they are the funniest, but there is more to those scenes than in the trailer as well. The best scene of course is the yoga scene. The story line is a pretty serious one, but the way it is handled is a nice balance of drama and comedy. If you buy the DVD make sure to watch the alternate ending because it goes with the story better and really wraps everything up. Also, watch the deleted scenes, you'll see some that shouldn't have been deleted and some that should have never been filmed (glad they deleted those!). I just have to add this fact, Faizon "Big Worm" Love is a genius comedian! He really rocks this movie and steals the show. Overall a 4 out of 5.
