'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2' Review By Junior07

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, although very pleasing to the eyes fails to deliver much else.

I'm start off this review by being honest. I walked into this film pretty close-minded, a series of events led me to see this film. I honestly had no interest in seeing this film, even though I enjoyed the first film greatly. But when the movie started, I decided to act less cynical and just try to enjoy the film. Unfortunately, I could not.

I'll start off with the positives. First off, the animation is spectacular! Very colorful and nice to look at. Filled with a lot of nice vibrant colors. Also, the 3D wasn't that bad either. And lastly, the voice acting is pretty good. All the actors in the film do a great job with the material they're given.

I understand this is a kids film. But this film fails to entertain kids and adults at the same time. I didn't laugh once in this film. Admittedly, I smiled a handful of times and let out an occasional "Aww". But for the majority of the film I was pretty bored and uninterested. Which leds me into the story, this film is incredibly predictable (which granted most kids films are). But in this film it's just so blatant. The antagonist of the film reminded me of the same on in "Up". In fact, it's almost the same film.

Overall, I didn't like this film. And I honestly can't see anyone under the age of 10 liking this movie. Hopefully you enjoyed this review, it'd mean a lot. Thanks!

@junior07 Not bad for a first review. Like @XxNickTheFilmCriticXx said, just keep an eye on the grammar, so that you can fix it on your next review and elaborate more on why you liked or don't liked on the specific film you're reviewing.

You do have some potential. Keep working hard and who knows? You might surpass me and the others at MW.

@junior07 -- Not a bad first review. I've never reviewed an animation, but it seems like it's a lot tougher. You don't have many technical traits to judge as you do with live-action pictures, and will resort to a more personal aspect, more than anything. It's understandable, though.

Elaborate a little more, and fix some of the grammar issues. Besides that, you're definitely a reviewer to watch out for. Keep up the good work!
