First and foremost, I must address that I felt that this was not the remake i wished for... I was disappointed. The 1981 classic was a masterpiece filled with a complete and epic journey and a powerful reason that guided the audience to tell this story of trial and conquest. What I saw here was a film with a great cast of actors such as Sam Worthington and Liam Neeson, all the actors/actresses were phenomenal alike to the cast of the 1981 version. This film had stunning visuals that refined the classic Scorpions, Kraken and action sequences. Medusa was more terrifying in the classic, Medusa's rattle was silenced and her appearance was quite lovely when i expected a creature with a thousand scares. The direction caused the story to not explain as much in such a condense amount of time. The original had a complete explanation as to why go on such a journey. Perseus had more reason to go through such a vigorous quest in the classic, whereas Perseus in the re-make had everything he wanted already. 81' Perseus had nothing and got everything in the end and 2010' Perseus had both everything and nothing throughout the film. The changes that director Louis Leterrier made caused this film to be confusing, contradictive, and less-effective than the 1981 film. The 3D version only shows dimensions in the beginning and in the credits. I give this film barely a 3 because though the acting and visuals were great, the 1981 film holds the true story of Clash Of The Titans.
