City Island: Synopsis
Based upon De Felitta's original screenplay, "City Island" is the story of a Bronx prison deputy Vince Rizzo (Garcia) who recognizes a prisoner (Strait) as his grown child whom he sired with another woman twenty years earlier. He decides to be the young man's guardian in Rizzo's family's home, but his efforts to conceal the nature of his relationship to the young man promptly begin to unravel the complex web of deceits which have worn the family fabric threadbare through the years.
The title refers to the actual fishing village in the Bronx where the story is set.

This movie was fantastic!!! It was funny, sad, moving, and very, very real. The characters were all someone we know, have known or at some point will meet. Although the ending was somewhat predictable, it was still very satisfying.

NAME GOES HERE
@combatmadness360 - (according to my interpretation of the plot description provided) this is about the relationship between a prison guard an an ex-con who he takes into his care after realising it's his illegitimate child from 20 years earlier.
sounds similar (not only in title) to 'City by The Sea' (with Robert De Niro & James Franco) where the relationship is between an estranged cop father and his criminal son
