I don't feel like doing a formal review, but here are my thoughts on Chronicle:

It was a little cliched. Andrew had every little teenage drama one could possibly think of thrust upon him. His mom was dying, he was being abused by his drunken father, and bullied by classmates.

The story was basic (the put-upon kid gets some power, goes overboard), but it was framed very well. The found footage angle gave Chronicle the appearance of being fresh, and sometimes that is enough. In this case, it was, but barely.

All flaws or predictability aside, I wouldn't give up the last twenty minutes of that film for anything. Perhaps one of, if not the greatest action sequence I have ever seen.

Overall, Chronicle was a nice diversion, but I think I if given the choice, I would just fast-forward to the ending sequence and be just fine.
