I'm not usually much of a fan of war movies, and I've never seen a politcal movie that I liked. Yet somehow Charlie Wilson's War, which just so happens to be a combination of both genres, proved to be a very enjoyable movie. The writing and directing were top knotch, and with a cast as incredible as this, there's just no way this movie could dissappoint. Tom Hanks once again proved his superiority over the average actor, while both Julia Roberts and Phillip Seymour Hoffman were able to keep pace seemingly effortlessly. This is really a perfect movie for anyone who is interested in or enjoys history, war movies, political movies, comedies, dramas, intellectual movies, or for anyone who like Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, or for anyone who dislikes Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts and/or Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Just make sure you are not too easily offended.
