Yes, it is a superficial bubblegum movie, but it does not pretend to be anything other than that. I could sit back and have fun with this.

Joe Johnston did a marvelous job directing this movie (written by Christopher Markus, Stephen McFeely, Joe Simon, Jack Kirby) about skinny and frail, Steve Rogers, who was born during the depression. During the war, he tries to enlist, but is rejected because he was so frail. After he becomes of a test project where he is injected with some serum and rays, he becomes a little super human. He then becomes Captain America and basically kicks ass.

Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell and the rest of the actors did a very fine job.
