It was pretty claustrophobic at first because even though he's buried in a box, he only experiences a small part of it at first & it's directed that way with very tight shots. Somehow even though he is buried in a box plenty of things happen, & there all sorts of suspenseful & tense moments in the film. The lighting was inspired even though there are some scenes without any light. There is even political & corporate commentary.
He can't deny being buried so we didn't see all five stages of grief but we did see anger, depression, bargaining & acceptance. They are there and Ryan Reynolds was great at all of them. There is a fantastic scene where he is lying there & you can see the tear roll down the side of his face. There were many scenes were you can't help but feel his anger & frustration or feel sorry for him.
I can't believe this movie fell under the radar.

Neat review, I agree with you, really good movie. For a one-man show, Ryan Reynolds did outstanding.
