This film really surpassed my expectations. While it has its flaws, it's still really well made.

If you don't know the premise of the film, it's about a guy, Jack, who is released from prison after committing a horrible crime as a child. Jack, played by Andrew Garfield, then has to try to fit into society again under a new alias. It is said that this film has similarities with the real life James Bulger murder case.

Garfield's performance as Jack in this film is magnificent. Just the way he interacts and talks feels very genuine. Peter Mullan also gives a great performance as Jack's witness protection officer Terry. I also thought the score was really good.

Definitely check this film out when you get the chance.
