I recently saw the movie the illegal way and I must say it was much better then I thought it would be.

The action and special effects were of course the best part of the film and they were really good. The characters/acting was average. I really don't know how Taylor Kitsch keeps getting leading roles in films. He's only a average actor. He was just serviceable as Gambit in Wolverine and in this he was bad. The other actors did a much better job. Like Alexander Skarsg&#229rd who did a good job in the Battleship as did Rihanna in what I believe is her first acting role. Liam Neeson is always a bright spot in any film and that included his limited role in Battleship. Then there's Brooklyn Decker who brings her hotness but not much else.

As for director Peter Berg this has to be his worst film to date.

Overall this is a entertaining movie worth renting, but I wouldn't pay to see it in the theater. If I had I most likely would have given it a worse score.

The biggest problem in the film was of course the plot of the film about a very advanced alien race for some reason needing earth's communication device when if they're such an advanced race they shouldn't need. That's just one of the many plot holes of this film concerning the aliens in the film.

Yes, it will be based off of the board game, but from what i see from the trailer, there will also even be aliens involved in the movie.
