Battle: Los Angeles: Review By RingWraither

"Wow..." I whispered to myself once the credits started rolling on this one.

For the past 2 years now, Hollywood's been tossing around plenty of alien movies, some are good (District 9); and others bad (Skyline), but Battle: LA was a very nice surprise. Since I'm a huge alien movies fan... it's extremely hard to complain.

Story: Ok, go to IMDB if you want to know what the movie's about. I've been on hiatus on this site, and I still dont understand the grade for "STORY" but if by "STORY" they mean, (originality, plot, theme) then fine o.0

It's not E.T and it's not Aliens, but the movie packs a punch. Punches actually. Imagine Black Hawk Down mixed in with some Transformers and Independence Day. It was hard looking at the aliens in this movie though because they came off as unbeatable and robotic. EXTREMELY robotic. But I guess that's what we should be getting with an alien movie. But isn't Optimus Prime alien too? Hmm.. thought.

Acting: No Oscars of course, Aaron Eckhart is pretty well casted here and so is Michelle Rod because she's hott. And because she's hottt the movie gets more than two thumbs up from me. Ha! Get it? XD more than- ok nvm!

Directing: Alot of shaky moments in the film sometimes I lost my place in the movie, but overall it was done pretty well.

Visuals: In some scenes AWESOME and in others kind of cheesy, but mostly just awesome. I really liked the ships in the movie they're something different and makes Battle: LA stand out from other alien movies. But what really makes this movie stand out is the action! Wow... breath-taking, intense, violent, etc.. all you ever wanted in an alien war movie!
