Batman: Review By MaterTua Lee-loyer

Ok now Batman of the 1960's was gay (i dont mean the sexual term well i dont think i do) and hokey cartoonish and downright silly...so who do they turn to to redo the franchise and breath fresh new air into Batman...Tim burton (sigh) well he does try I mean the Batman with micheal keaton was a good choice but it was jack as the joker that upped the movie and at the time i watched ths at the cinema in 1989 it was cool..21 years later and depressed beacuse ive just done the maths this film looks dated already the visuals i always thought were too dark to depressing but I guess Tim was trying to recreate a grimy gotham sure the visuals are cool and the colours are a little well lets face facts ...loud in your face and the music by Prince out of place its still worth a watch even today and despite these horrid little gripes its not too bad a movie (check out when the joker falls to his death the C.G.I is really needed there just a cartoon falling (like a roadrunner cartoon) it looks like to me)

british support actors some of the crims american accents were ropey

the visuals too dark and too grimey

the humour...sometimes out of place and lacking only jack saves this movie

THE GOOD

jack nicholson hes sublime in this

jack palance...wow a great choice a great actor hes still got it

The butler...get some good lines for a suportting actor but i feel arthurs butler wouldve been better lol (john geilgud)
