Matthew had a problem with producers tellnig him to add action, and visual sequences when what he truly wanted to make was a political science fiction noir thriller, which this film is but with added action sequences that put it off edge, and an ending to make you grimmace and say "Geez, they rushed that bit".

Anyhow the story is of Toorop a mersinary who is offered a job of al ifetime to escort a young phychic virgin with her surrogate mother, a sister of a high temple, but being rushed into a world of dnagers her powers and attacks of phychic attacks happen more and more.

the film is put of a bit, but i saw through thism ovie what the director wanted to do, and he did it, but mostly the film was edited and cut to make it seem like an action thriller.

I truly if i had the money would give it to Matthew and get him to use Vin Diesal to star in a remake, but with all the freedom in the world.

Vin can hold a performance and an audience with his deep macho vocie and series face, and his perfroamnce here was going to thrill me till the producers said to him "were basically making XXX: AD"

here is a film with promis but was harshly changed.

But still fun to watch and admire the phtography and art direction and true beauty of the sets, and cinematography.
