I think it is really great someone made this film. It is like a case study, quietly watching babies interact with themselves, their parents, their pets, their toys, the dirt, and just about anything that crosses their path.

It's amazing to see the unique ways that children are born and reared in disparate parts of the earth, from Africa to Japan, to Mongolia to San Francisco. Without any type of narration, you are drawn to your own observations and conclusions about nurture verses nature, and the different environments and their effects on the growth and development of these infants.

I do wish there was, like a case study, some kind of final remarks or conclusion, although I guess I am looking for judgments where it's nice that they're not. Although I will say that you don't need a lot of toys to have a wondrous, curious, intelligent and aware little baby. And anything that shows the benefits of breastfeeding is a 5-star movie in my book!
