Going into this movie I had two expectations, either it was going to be a great movie or it was going to suck. Usually when a movie gets so much hype like this those are the two possible outcomes, but when coming out of the movie theater I said to myslef that is was alright.

First off, I have to say as a special effects movie it is a masterpiece, every little detail was set to a percfection. Having said that, is that the only reason everybody loves this movie, for the special effects, I know that special effects are a big part of a movie, but special effects are not the only element for a great movie.

I felt like some of the characters were not really neaded or did not get a descent amount of attention such as Michelle Rodriguez's was just used by the storyline a little bit, and joel mores character was there just to be there. Although i did like like the idea where people can become an avatar and go in and out of there avatars, and how sam worthingtons character, jake, bacome a true leader, and that the whole planet is all conjoined together as one whole. It has its positves and negatives.

I heard that James Cameron spent 300 million dollars on this movie, and it looks like most of it went towards special effects, i do think that he will make it all back, not just from the box offices, but from toys, clothing, and i am not sure if there is a video game in production, but if it is he will make a few bucks off it, and not to mention that it will earn a few oscars for the special effects catogory.

If you are looking for the greatest movie ever this is not it, but it a descent movie, and if you go into it with great expectations of it being the best, you will be disopointed, although if you go into it just looking for some entertainment you will fine with it.
