Australia

Is “Australia” one of the greatest movies of 2008 and EVER because of its fantastic acting or because of its incredible adventure storyline? It’s pretty much both. I just rented the 2008 adventure/romance “Australia” on Comcast On Demand and I absolutely loved it! Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman are wonderful to watch in this movie and this is defiantly one of my new favorites. I really regret not seeing this one on the big screen because this is defiantly a movie that should be appreciated to all people around the world. I don’t think this movie got as much credit as it deserved. This movie is defiantly Oscar worthy for Best Actress for Nicole Kidman, Best Picture, and a lot more. I loved this movie. Now, my favorite movie of 2008 and of all time is still “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”, but this movie is defiantly going in my top ten favorites. I loved this movie so much! I have never liked Nicole Kidman in a movie so much! Hugh Jackman, being one of the greatest actors of this time does an excellent job in this movie. He amazed me as did Nicole Kidman. Do I recommend “Australia”? Yes. On Movieweb, there was a lot of positive reviews for this movie. I read all the great reviews but I still didn’t go out and see this. I highly regret it. I wish I did because now after seeing this movie I really wish I watched this incredible film on the big screen. If you haven’t seen this wonderful movie yet, don’t rent it, buy it on DVD so you can own it! This movie is wonderful! I promise myself that I will buy this movie at some point because this really needs to be added into my DVD collection. It needs to be added A-STAT! So, see this movie right away! Go buy it!

PLOT:

This movie has a very interesting adventure/romance plot! The movie kept me interested trough the whole thing. When I was watching trailers for this movie, I didn’t expect it to be so darn good! I was expecting a pretty boring romance movie but I should really slap myself for thinking that! This movie was great and it was made so well. The storyline is really interesting and it keeps you on your seat and really waiting for more! Trust me. Here is the plot:

This movie revolves around a rich London women who teams up with a Australian to drove a bunch of a cattle to a small town called Darwin and they do it against bad guys and traps. As the adventure goes on, romance blooms in the air between Jackman and Kidman’s characters. The movie has much more of a plot than what I wrote but I do not want to give away too much because the movie is over two and a half hours and there is a lot to the movies plot and just one little thing could ruin the whole film to you.

ACTING:

The acting in this movie is wonderful! I loved Nicole Kidman in this. She isn’t even one of my favorite actresses and I think she is really Oscar worthy for her performance in this movie. She was absolutely wonderful in her role in this film. I would watch this over and over just for her if I didn’t like the film at all. Lol. Hugh Jackman does a fabulous job in this as well. I liked him in this. This is defiantly one of his best movies, scratch that, this IS his best movie. I loved this movie. It is defiantly one of my new favorites. So, an applause for you Hugh Jackman, you did an excellent job in this. To you to, Nicole. Even all the other performances were good in this movie. Not one performance disappointed me in this movie. I was amazed by the film which is one hundred percent why you should see it!

THE GOOD OF THE MOVIE:

What is the good of this movie? Well, lets think…hmmm….ahhh…the WHOLE DARN THING! Everything in this movie was perfect! Every scene, every performance. I loved this entire movie and it was perfect in every scene about it. Is there any bad for this movie, hell no! This whole movie was excellent. So, get off your fanny and go out and buy this movie! This movie may be two hours and forty six minutes but it is worth every second. Every second of this movie is fabulous. All the acting, the adventure, the romance, all the history, EVERYTHING! The movie will even make you crack a few laughs. You can even watch Hugh Jackman use his punch-line in this movie. Do you want to know his punch-line? “Oh, Crikey!” I think that’s how you spell It. Correct me if I’m wrong, please. So, in conclusion, there is no bad at all about this movie, not any bad AT ALL! So…go and buy “Australia”! I promise you, its great!

THE BAD OF THE MOVIE:

Is there even a bad in this movie? Nope! There is not one single bad about this movie. Every little aspect, every little scene is perfect about this film.

VISUALS:

This movie has good visuals! I liked the visuals in this movie. The way everything looked and the adventure/war scenes looked cool. I really enjoyed the visuals in this movie and I didn’t see any wrong with them so don’t expect any horrible visuals from “Australia”.

DIRECTION:

Whoever directed “Australia” is a God! He/She did a wonderful job making this amazing film because I was fascinated by every little thing about this movie. I loved how everything looked and I wasn’t angry about the directing at all! I hope to see more of the director who made this movie. I am going to look up the director of this movie, though. I wanna see other work from He/She. So, DO NOT expect any bad directing from the wonderful movie “Australia”.

OVERALL:

Overall, see “Australia”! This movie is fabulous! I really do think that this movie deserved more than it got. Nicole Kidman was Oscar worthy and I wish that she was at least nominated! Hugh Jackman is great, as well. The storyline is wonderful. Get ready for a wonderful adventure film mixed with romance and drama. This movie is excellent. Go out and buy this movie. It is worth every second and every penny. I SWEAR! Do I love this movie? Heck yes! See “Australia”!
