Antwone Fisher (2002)

Denzel Washington, who has starred in two autobiographical flicks (Malcolm X and last year's The Hurricane), takes on another project that is based on a real person, this time Antwone Fisher. Fisher was an angry sailor in the Navy, on the verge of being booted for repeated fights before turning his life around with the help of a Navy psychiatrist (Denzel Washington). The change led him to search for the family that abandoned him as a baby. Fisher later went on to work as a Sony Pictures security guard before becoming a writer-producer with a chance to tell his own life story. More »
