I can’t believe I sat through the entire thing. I think kids today would know bad CG work when they see one so they’re not going to be fooled by this poor excuse for a family film. Some may argue it’s because… I don’t have kids or that I was watching it like an adult instead of reconnecting with my inner child. Bullcrap! Even if I did all those, it still wouldn’t change the fact that ALIENS IN THE ATTIC is a yawn machine.

Seriously though, if you have trouble sleeping at night, I suggest buy ALIENS IN THE ATTIC DVD or Blu-Ray and you’re good to go.. your dreams might even be more fun that the storyline. The movie is as weak as that other family movie that also didn’t make sense and just dragged til the end, ah yes, The Last Mimzy.

The trailer makes it seem like the Pearsons kids are at war with a bunch of aliens but what we got are 4 dumb aliens. I hate it when movies make it seem like it’s super hard for characters to get from point A from point B when it’s actually simpler than you think, going from the top of the house to the basement could be much easier, the movie could be done in less than 20 minutes but nope it has to make it as though the Pearson kids are doing some crazy smart McGyver type ideas to keep the aliens in the attic.

Granted the mind control part of the movie might get the younger viewers giggling at the sight of the jerk boyfriend slapping himself in the face and making ridiculous faces. Clearly, Kevin Nealon, Tim Meadows and Andy Richter are short on cash and got nothing else better to do.

The High School Musical gang, Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale are all racing to see which one would get to be a movie star and judging from this movie, Tisdale is running way behind.

I can’t believe names like J.K. Simmons and Thomas Haden Church lend their voices for the Aliens, they’re too good for this gig. Church especially was also in Eddie Murphy’s Imagine That, he seriously needs to get away from making all these mistakes. What frustrates me the most is that… the bar has been set right there by Pixar and Disney and others… so why would you, as a filmmaker, would wanna make a family friendly movie with qualities lower than that bar?! Why would you wanna aim for anything less and waste our time and money?! It’s very sad. O the humanity,.. think of the children!
