Alice in Wonderland was overwhelming. The way I describe this movie is "style over substance". Visually the movie was fantastic especially "The Chesire Cat". But when it comes to the plot... I never really got into it, really didn't care, I didn't know why certain thing's happened, and I also didn't know what the big deal was. Johnny Deep let me down a bit not that he was great but his voice I just kept seeing Jack Sparrow. At first he sounded like Willy Wonka. Then Jack Sparrow and then Mort Rainey (his role in "Secret Window"). When I heard his other character's voices I got out of the moment and really didn't pay attention to anything else. All the other actors were great. But the Matter Hatter was portrayed wrong. Alice was great but I didn't find her boring like a lot of other people. It also bothered me how they filmed it in 2D and then transfered it to 3D because movies that are transfered in 3D are terrible. But I saw it in IMAX 3D and it was actually great. The plot was lacking but the visuals were great. I did enjoy it but it didn't blow me away like I expected it to be.

I still prefer the od Alice's plot. I thought the new Alice was too serious and mature. I prefer a jovial and carefuree Alice. But the visual is great.
