So the story, is extremely hard to explain. You’re going to think it’s what I thought. Some guy playing around with women. Well, let me tell you, buddy, it’s not. The weirdest thing is, I normally hate movies like this. Where guys try to get into women’s pants. But what makes this one so different, is he respects these women. He has the highest respect for women there is. He doesn’t hurt them, mistreat them, or say, or do anything that an *sshole would do. Sure, he’s just trying to get into their pants, but he makes them feel special, and NOT what most movies do- make women look like little f*ck-toys. This movie glamorizes women, in all their beautiful glory. The movie also, makes men actually look good. Alfie isn’t some stupid teen out for first time sex, he is a nice man. Now, maybe you’re some type of Religious person, thinking this is the movie from the Devil. In that case, you’re lost, and I’m sorry. You completely missed this. Now, if you’re like me, and are Religious too, and also think this sounds good, or you’ve seen it, and liked it. Right on, for you. You got it.
Jude Law has never been better. I more thought he was some sort of eye-candy for the ladies out there, but now I know he’s a for-real actor. I like his character of Alfie. He lightens up the movie, and he really just made this movie work to perfection. He is such a likable guy, you must admit. Then the supporting cast is extremely strong, too. It includes such females as Sienna Miller (yay!), Marisa Tomei, and Susan Surandon. Those are his main female interactions, but of course there’s more. Let’s start with Sienna Miller. Extremely pretty. But also a very good actress. It seems as thought just recently, she’s been getting some good roles, like in Gi Joe, and others that just don’t come to my mind. Marisa Tomie, I think I’ve only seen in one other thing, and that being The Wrestler. But she gives a very nice performance as Alfie’s on and off girlfriend. Since she’s a little older, I feel a little weird saying this, since I’m 15, but she looks good. She has very pretty eyes, and a nice smile. As for Susan Surandon… I’ve heard that name countless times, but i honestly can’t remember seeing her in anything. This kind of annoys me, that I’ve heard of her so much, but can’t remember seeing her in a thing. Oh well. Anyway, she is very good in her role, and I wouldn’t want this movie any other way at all, because it’s perfect, but Alfie is so young, and she’s… So old. At least for Alfie’s age. Come on, Alfie, go for someone your own age!
Now, I haven’t given a movie 5 stars in quite some time, but that’s mainly because I haven’t been reviewing as much. But, still, this movie’s amazing.
