John (Wesley Snipes) and Charlie (Woody Harrelson) are partners, best friends and foster brothers. They're also transit cops that work undercover on the New York subway.

Their sibling rivalry goes over the top as a result of their love for the same woman, fellow transit cop Grace Santiago (Jennifer Lopez), and Charlie's plan to rob the "money train" -- the heavily guarded revenue train that collects millions of dollars from New York's subway booths.
