yes i noticed tht wen i watch the last samuri but i feel tht there is only one real story line in reality bt they tried to do another with the queen but it didnt need it as it is artistic enough on its own.
i cu got a pic of heath ledger is tht in his memory?
its portraying when the persians tried to overtake sparta and all of greece and showed the LEGENDARY battle that took place prior to the persians battling greece as a whole (which can be seen at the end of the movie) but all the events portrayed in the movie were for the most part true, i.e. the battle and the fall of King Leonidas and his 300 men, although i'm fairly positive that Leonidas does in fact kill xerxes prior to them dying(in reality), though that isnt shown in the movie, rather that he only wounded him..
the movie itself though is factual to its core although it can also be claimed as a gore fest, but thats what makes the movie that action packed and the battle that much better.. also this battle is mentioned in "The Last Samurai" by Tom Cruise towards the end of the movie, check it out
yes i do i no alot about the acients spata vs greeks compition bt the persian armies tried to control but it is not portrayed in the film itself the historic facts look like it was an excuse to make a gore film
