300: Review By kamon

Didn't know what to expect when I watched this. All the reviews prior to me getting my hands on it indicated that is was poorly acted, it had a weak story and people did not like the fact is was filmed in front of a blue screen in a studio. On watching this film, for me, this was not the case. Sometimes films come along that push the boundaries, this is one of these films. OK it may be one for the boys but I am sure there will be a few ladies out there that will love it also. I was glued to the screen, could not believe that at times I found myself cheering on the Spartans, after all, you have to love an underdog. I was totally transfixed by the sheer brilliance of the battle scenes and the levels of testosterone running round my very large TV screen, I was so engrossed by the effects and the detail, I found myself looking at the clock as I did not want it to finish. If you like a good battle film like Braveheart, Troy, Arthur, Kindom of Heaven and many more like these you will love this. None of them come close to the filming of 300. It was raw, dark, bloody and sometimes jaw dropping. My advice would be, watch this film, its a must!
