It's good to see the vampire mythology moving away from the romantic live forever ideal and towards a more viscious blood thirsty vision. Producer Sam Raimi (Spider-man) has insured horror movie fans that a vampire flick can be both scarey and bloody without losing the plot.

"30 Days of Night" is 2007's stand out horror movie and far superior to the rescent "Saw IV" disapointment.
