'21' Review By Josh

...a decent flick ... but certainly nothing special.

21 is an entertaining enough film for what it is, but it suffers from overuse of a voiceover narrative device and a painful hipster mentality. Kevin Spacey (along with most of the cast) come across as more obnoxious than anything else, but the main actor, Jim Sturgess, is promising, and Laurence Fischburne is great. The methods the characters develop for their game is unique and the little cat-and-mouse game they play with casino security works. Ultimately, it's a decent flick for its premise and mildly well-executed, but certainly nothing special.
