  • @XxNickTheFilmCriticXx Found this list of 25 overrated films and some of them I'll list on here:
Avatar, Bladerunner, No Country for Old Men, Little Miss Sunshine, The Usual suspects @bawnian-dexeus's recently reviewed 2001: A Space Odyssey is on their. Juno and Napoleon Dynamite are somehow on the list. Not to mention why the hell is Ocean's Eleven and Million Dollar Baby are overrated?!

Those are just to name a few, here's the article if you want to read more:

  • It's fair to point out, and I know I just sound like a critic, that Metacritic (a more reliable source than RT) has this at a 70. Which is still quite good. But if you look at the breakdown only like two critics have this a score higher than 3/4. Bridesmaids on the other hand dominated critics.

  • @ghostman Dude, you gotta stop doing these RT threads. Especially since some of these average ratings hit up some pretty big changes by opening day. I for one like to see a movie having no other ratings or reviews around to affect my opinion. If the majority says it's bad/good then I leave the theatre thinking the same most of the time.

  • @ghostman@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx Yeah, it's way too inconsistent. I'm glad we're all in agreement on that :)

  • @ghostman -- What the hell? I think the person who constructed that list added movies in there just for the sake of adding movies people liked it but they didn't. Napoleon Dynamite? How in the world is that movie overrated?

Question: What was that link that you gave me all about? Because I just got blocked(parents have a parental protection on my laptop), ha.

Don't worry, I'm not nearly as desensitized as @thedude-abides. ;)

  • @XxNickTheFilmCriticXx Haha wait, your parents use 'parental block' on your laptop? How old are you man, looking at porn have you? 0_o

Anyways only kidding about the p00n we all know what t&a looks like :D The only movie i can say that I find a little overrated would be Titanic. It's a real good movie (slight rip-off from Romeo and Juliet) but it's not that great as everyone makes it out to nor is it Cameron's greatest work (T2,Aliens, and the visual work from Avatar)

  • @ghostman -- Ha ha, yeah. I'm 17, well, I use to - but not anymore. That was more of a phase, if you know what I mean.Titanic, aye? I saw that movie a long, long time ago. Maybe around a decade ago? So I can't give a valid opinion on that one.
