It's funny, because just the other day, I was thinking that I haven't really seen a movie that... was just excellent, and well, you know... good. I mean I'd seen some that were decent, and some that were actually pretty good. But none of them stunned me. Actually, most movies I've rented have been really stupid, and bad. You're probably wondering where I'm going with this, and want me to get to the point already. So, here it is- this film totally makes up for all the bad ones I've gotten.

I originally was only interested in this film because of Naomi Watts. She is not just a beautiful woman, but an excellent actress. She's the reason I picked this up at Blockbuster. Then an employee told me that it was good, and it also sounded kinda good, so I rented it. I'm extremely glad I did.

The story is almost impossible to explain, so I'm not going to. I will just let you read the one MovieWeb provides, or maybe you already know it. It's almost impossible to explain, because the film is shown like Pulp Fiction. It doesn't play in order. They make you confused by one scene, and make you think you missed something, but then a few scenes later, they explain it. But basically it's about how 3 people are all connected together by one tragic event. It's a extremely dramatic film, and not one to be watched if you are already a bit depressed at the moment.

The acting is beyond excellent. Naomi Watts, and Benicio Del Toro were nominated for Best Actress, and Best Supporting Actor. They should have won. Sean Penn should have been nominated as well! Everyone does phenomenal, even the supporting cast. They may not have a big part, but all the actors still put all they had into it.

Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu is the director. Haven't heard of him before, and I'm surprised, because he is one of the best directors I've ever seen! he really knows how to make a scene dramatic, and captivating!

A truly dramatic, and excellent film. One that I need to add to my all time favorites.

    and Vamp- thats a great idea, but the library doesnt have spell check, so i'll have to edit all the reviews ive posted this week when i get there friday. and i didnt try to fix it, because wehn i tried editing my Watchmen review over the phone, it deleted half the thing. thankfully i had it written down.
