Any movie that is about the subject of Violence and violent people is going to get some interesting reactions from its viewers. 15 MInutes is a bold, edgy, thriller that takes no prisoners when it comes to showing the violence, and the movie is not just violence for violence sake its a brutal realistic satire on the subject. The movie stars Robert De Niro as a publicity hound detective, and Edward Burns as the exact opposite a serious arson investigator, and Kelsey Grammer as news anchor who loves to show violence to boost ratings. The movie also stars Karel Roden and Oleg Taktarov who play two criminals on a killing rampage so they can be famous and Vera Farmiga as a witness the two killers spend most of the movie trying to kill. The movie almost plays out like a more real version of Natural Born Killers the big action scenes in the movie are filmed real well and there is cool foot chase and a cool burning building scene. The movie does have a lot to say about violence and violence in the media but the movie never strays away from its subject matter about people who want their 15 minutes. I can't really say that this is a fun movie to watch but if you are looking for something to blow your mind and you don't really have to think about it to much I recommend this movie.
