1408: Review By peter-noster

Before watching 1408 I didn't read any reviews nor know the short story by King. So I was unprepared as I like it to be with mystery stories. It's nice to see a movie in modern horror cinema that takes its time before it unleashes its power.

I liked the feeling of watching a modern Twilight Zone episode for the big screen. The second half I didn't like that much as the first. At the surf-accident on the beach I hoped "please don't let them got that 'Carnival of Souls' route'. And they tricked the me - not very subtle - but I was glad they did.

Overall I would recommend it for one time seeing. It's well spend money for this well crafted genre movie.
