The ‘Lost’ star reunites with Abrams for the hour-long CBS crime drama pilot about a billionaire who works to stop violent crime.

Lost star Michael Emerson has been cast in the CBS pilot Person of Interest which J.J. Abrams is executive producing.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, CBS gave the greenlight to Person of Interest last week.

The one-hour crime drama was created by J.J. Abrams and screenwriter Jonathan Nolan. Michael Emerson will play a billionaire who works to stop violent crime along with an ex-CIA agent.

    Emerson rocks! He's one of those lovable villains you sometimes secretly want to succeed (kind of like Giaus Baltar from BSG, and Batiatus from Spartacus). Not very surprised he was cast for the role, having worked with Abrams and co. before on LOST. Good news :)
