The new season of a long-running Saturday evening staple will premiere with one of the hottest actresses on the planet. According to The Hollywood Reporter, actress Megan Fox will be the host of the season premiere of Saturday Night Live.

Fox will be joined by musical guest U2 for the show's 35th season premiere, scheduled to air on September 26. Both are coming off of summer successes with Fox's mega-blockbuster Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, which recently crossed the $400 million domestic gross mark, and U2 will follow up two sold-out shows at Giants Stadium just two days before the season premiere.

Saturday Night Live will start its new season with four new shows in a row, with the October 3 show hosted by Ryan Reynolds with Lady Gaga as the musical guest, with Drew Barrymore hosting the October 10 show and Gerard Butler hosting the October 17 show.
