‘Marvel’s The Avengers’ Skrull Presence Confirmed by Board Game

The alien menace in Joss Whedon’s upcoming Marvel adventure is given away by the Mighty Battle Skill & Strategy game.

We know that Marvel's The Avengers will be going up again an alien threat when they hit theaters this summer. But those involved with the project have long denied that this menace about to wreck havoc upon planet earth is the comic book's iconic army of shape shifting Skrulls. A new piece of merchandise seems to confirm otherwise, though, as the plastic pieces included in Jakks Pacific's new Marvel's The Avengers Mighty Battle Skill and Strategy board game offer our first glimpse at what is definitely a Skrull (even if they are going unnamed, or by a different name, in the movie). This game also touts that it's for the battle of the Cosmic Cube, so maybe those Red Skull rumors aren't so far off either. Check out the pics below.

didn't Feige debunk the Skrulls?? :/ I mean the toys do resemble the Skrulls but I don't think they r the alien villains in the movie.

Those are 100% Skrull; you can tell by the pointy ears, and their helmet design :)

Cool design; I don't know if they're Skrulls, but it would be nice if they were. They're perfectly right to steal them after the Fantastic Four films. :)

@combatmadness360 So am I. I only saw a few of grey looking demons jumping from one edge to the other. Couldn't even get a good look at them. Had the pause the video and it looked blurred

@bawnian-dexeus I'm talking about the extended trailer, where they practically dance in front of the camera.

Minus all the pink (yes, I know that's just for the game) I do like the design.
