It's not yet known if this episode will find Hall transforming into Graviton, or if that reveal is being saved for a later date. In the comics, Dr. Franklin had conducted an experiment that caused graviton particles to merge with his own molecules, which allowed him to manipulate gravity at will. He eventually succumbs to this great power, using it for evil instead of good. He creates a supervillain costume, dubbing himself 'Graviton'. Its anyone's guess how this will play out on the series. In the comics, Graviton is often seen battling Marvel's The Avengers.

Guest star Ian Hart (Bates Motel) is playing Dr. Franklin Hall in The Asset, written by series co-creators Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen and directed by David Solomon (Falling Skies).

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode 1.3, "The Asset" stars Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen, Brett Dalton, Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, David Conrad, Ian Hart} and is directed by Milan Cheylov}.
