We know that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will featuring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, returning as Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy. Another star from The Amazing Spider-Man is now confirmed to return for the sequel as well, with Martin Sheen once again playing Uncle Ben.

Take a look at what he had to say on the Irish talk show The Late Late Show last week.

"Well they called me back, I don't know what the part's going to be but I'm going to be Uncle Ben once again in Spider-Man next year. We shoot in February."

True to Spider-Man lore, Uncle Ben died in The Amazing Spider-Man, so Martin Sheen will most likely return for a few flashback scenes. Either that, or he will be pulling an Obi-Wan Kenobi. We'll keep you posted if any more character details are released.

Marc Webb is directing from a screenplay by Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman, and Jeff Pinkner.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was released May 2nd, 2014 and stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Colm Feore, Felicity Jones, Paul Giamatti, Sally Field. The film is directed by Marc Webb.

He'll get the flashback treatment like in the other Spider-Man films, I really don't see this as big news.

@therealGoku Well, this is a sequel so there will probably not be a whole lot of origin stuff.

@therealGoku webb and garfield both said that they are more excited for this sequel than the first one because they get to stray away from the origin and create more of an original story and adventure...

These reboots piss me off. We know the origins already! Just got on with the action and story. We don't need origins in EVERY movie. Damn
