Mark Wahlberg and Working Title Plan 'Point Blank' Remake

Fred Cavaye's original crime thriller followed a man, who races to save his kidnapped wife by rescuing a murderer.

Working Title is teaming up with Mark Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson's Leverage Production to reboot Fred Cavayé's Point Blank.

The original French action thriller centered on Samuel Pierret (Gilles Lellouche), a male nurse, who needs to setup the escape of a ganglord in order to keep his pregnant kidnapped wife alive. The film also starred Roschdy Zem, Gérard Lanvin and Elena Anaya.

Mark Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson will be producing. No confirmation that either will be involved as actors.

No production schedule has been released for this project.

Point Blank was released July 29th, 2011 and stars Gilles Lellouche, Roschdy Zem, Gérard Lanvin, Elena Anaya, Mireille Perrier, Claire Perot, Moussa Maaskri, Pierre Benoist. The film is directed by Fred Cavayé.
