Luke Wilson and Kevin Connolly Join ‘Elvis & Nixon’

Eric Bana and Danny Huston will portray the rock icon and former President in this drama focusing on their historic White House meeting.

Kevin Connolly has signed on and Luke Wilson is in talks to join Elvis & Nixon, which marks the directorial debut of actor Cary Elwes.

Last week, we reported Eric Bana signed on to play Elvis Presley and Danny Huston will portray Richard Nixon. The story centers on their infamous 1970 meeting at the White House, after Elvis Presley wrote a six-page letter requesting permission to visit. Luke Wilson will play Sonny, a member of Elvis Presley's "Memphis Mafia," who accompanies the rock icon on his Washington D.C. visit. Kevin Connolly is set to portray a limo driver named Ronnie.

Cary Elwes will direct Elvis & Nixon from a screenplay he co-wrote with Joe Sagal and Hanala Sagal, with Holly Wiersma and Michael Benaroya producing.

Production will begin this coming January in Louisiana.

Elvis & Nixon comes to theaters in 2015 and stars Kevin Spacey, Michael Shannon, Kevin Connolly, Luke Wilson. The film is directed by Cary Elwes.
