Lost and Tron: Legacy writers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis have sold a new TV project to ABC entitled Once Upon a Time.

The show centers around a female protagonist with a mysterious background in a small, present-day Maine town. The series will be a modern take on fairy tales, which will include elements of sci-fi, mystery and fantasy.

Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof will consult on the project and also serve as executive producer. Once Upon a Time will also feature a large ensemble cast, similar to Lost.

cool idea! just hope they don't do what lost did and get so twisted in the subplots and insanity that they lose sight of the story (and their audience).
