watched from russia with love. i knda see what ur talkin about now. his personality in that one somewhat resembles Jason Bourne, like as a 'chase' film. and i got a couple of the bond books too. i'll re read them then the bournes.
Man, you've got to re read those books, because if you could not see those rip offs displayed in the Bourne movies, you couldn't have really read them. They are clear as day. And also, go back and watch from Russia With Love, because in the first Bourne movie they take every aspect from that Bond movie, update and put it into Bourne's world.
i don't think so. you may have a point in which i do like the Bourne movies and books, but i see it completely different then your point of view. I have read Fleming's books, and Robert Ludlum's. They're a little different then aspects in the movie, but i cant see this rip-off your gettin at. No i cared for XXX 1 and 2, i just see in it that the 'idea' of the movies themselves are 'ideas' from which a character like Bond would produce. My eyes are open, dad.
No, son, go read Bond Books from Ian fleming and you can clearly see those Bourne movies are clear rip offs of Bond. Of course, you would say XXX was a rip off because you probably didn't really care for it. But i bet you really enjoy those Bourne movies, so that's why it's so hard for you to discern from the difference. Soon, your eyes will open.
okay from what your saying about bourne being rip offs, they're not. Bourne is completely opposite of Bond, and the books were entirely different. Bond is an imperialist and a misogynist, who makes wisecracks and funniess of the people he kills while sipping a martini. Bourne is a paranoid guy, he's on the run, rather then running to the target, he's not the gov't, the gov't is after him. He's more of a serial monogamist who is in love with his dead girlfriend, and Bond has a ton of girlfriends at his side. Bond is the adventurer and loves being a secret agent and loves his gadgets and all that. They are two completely different people, and the movies show this. They are completely different stories and the plots revolve around totally different aspects. You got to think about this before you say they are rip offs, Newkill. Even with Quantum of Solace or The Bourne Ultimatum.. Their both good, but no the same and dont show rip offs throughout the series, with their predecessors.
Son, listen they are rip offs. The Bourne books were basically rip offs of the Ian Fleming. Bourne started coming in the 70's. Bond books were way back in the 50's pal. Go back and read From Russia with love and watch Dr. No. Those Bourne movies are absolutely rip offs. You just like those Bourne films. The first two sucked. The third one was okay but it wasn't great. Don't hate.
