Kevin Smith's 'Tusk' Gets a September 2014 Release Date

Prepare to go full walrus with Kevin Smith's 'Tusk', which follows a podcast host who meets an unorthodox adventurer in Canada.

A24 Films has announced that director Kevin Smith's Tusk is set for release on September 19. The indie thriller will go up against 20th Century Fox's The Maze Runner, Warner Bros.' This Is Where I Leave You and Universal's A Walk Among the Tombstones. Take a look at a new photo from the movie featuring stars Justin Long and Michael Parks, then read on for more information.

Justin Long stars as a podcast host who travels to Canada in search of his friend and co-host after he goes missing, where he meets the enigmatic Howard Howe (Michael Parks), an adventurer who is obsessed with walruses. Johnny Depp, Haley Joel Osment, Genesis Rodriguez and Ralph Garman co-star.

We reported last week that Kevin Smith will debut the first trailer for Tusk during his annual Comic-Con panel in Hall H, which is on Friday, July 25 from 6:35 PM to 8:05 PM. Stay tuned for the first trailer after it debuts next week.

Tusk was released September 19th, 2014 and stars Michael Parks, Justin Long, Genesis Rodriguez, Haley Joel Osment, Johnny Depp, Harley Morenstein, Ralph Garman, Jennifer Schwalbach Smith. The film is directed by Kevin Smith.
