Keira Knightley is in negotiations to replace Anne Hathaway in the dark comedy Laggies. We reported back in March that Anne Hathaway was in talks to star, but she was recently forced to back out due to scheduling conflicts with Interstellar, which she joined last month.

The story centers on a young woman (Keira Knightley) who has an averse reaction to her boyfriend's (Mark Webber) surprise proposal. She shies away from answering him by pretending to go on a business trip, while she is actually just hanging out with her younger sister (Chloe Moretz). Sam Rockwell also stars as Craig.

Lynn Shelton is directing from a screenplay by Andrea Siegel. Steve Golin, Alix Madigan, and Rosalie Swedlin are producing for Anonymous Content. No production schedule has been given.

Keira Knightley most recently starred in Anna Karenina, and will next be seen in the musical Can a Song Save Your Life? and the action-thriller Jack Ryan.
