And yes they did start over from the very beginning. Hence reboot. Only some characters or books were allowed to continue unchanged, such as Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps. Supergirl was a fav of mine and she was completely started over from the very beginning with different origins, story, and costume. I stopped buying it.

None of that is true. Part of it has to do with the Seigel Estate lawsuit.

@undeadslayer4 Honestly, im not sure. Probably to keep things new and interesting. Like, we allready knew everything about the characters, so it wasn't a complete reboot. We didn't start over from the very beginning. They just got new artists and started over with numbers (like #1 Batman and so on.)

@undeadslayer4 Hahaha the movie had absolutely nothing to do with it. The plans to restart the comics was ahead way before the Green Lantern movie came out. They even had ads for the "upcoming Green Lantern movie" in the comics months before.

@Brizzy and because the green lantern was a huge failure is that why they rebooted the dc universe or was that only for the comics

@undeadslayer4 Basically the entire DC Universe was rebooted about 2-3 years ago. 52 new titles were restarted, such as Batman #1, Justice League #1, Swamp Thing #1- and so on. All the comic books were under the label "the new 52".

  20. The Real Goku

@Brizzy if you did read the new 52.. You'd know aquaman was there in the beginning with the founding members. Exactly when this DVD takes place. When darkseid invades. Aquaman was right there. Shazam wasn't. They replaced aquaman. Idk why

Oh my f*cking god YES!! YES!!! I LOVED these books when they first came out in the beginning of The New 52.
@therealGoku if im not mistaken, this seems to take place when the league is starting to farm, in the beginning of "the new 52" era which has been going on for some time. Aquaman was the last to join the league, following the members shown in this trailer. If they don't include him, it's because he joined after seeing how the League handled the invasion by Darkseid.
