Last month, a report surfaced that claimed the fate of Warner Bros.' DC superhero ensemble Justice League rests on the success or failure of the studio's summer tentpole Man of Steel, featuring iconic DC Comics character Superman. Today, a new report reveals that the gestating project has another big problem: The script is terrible.

The studio is reportedly scrapping the screenplay written by Will Beall (Gangster Squad). The screenplay in question supposedly features the villainous Darkseid, with several heroes having been added and removed from the story multiple times. The exceptions are the primary heroes Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, and The Flash. Some insiders even believe that the project will never come to fruition, while others think the studio is just waiting for the right script.

Warner Bros. has yet to find a director for Justice League, primarily because of their lackluster screenplay. We reported in October that the studio had set a 2015 release date, although, if they in fact are starting fresh with a new writer, it seems unlikely that they will hit this intended release date.
