Back in Septmeber, The Jungle Book director Jon Favreau posted a number of selfies with cast members Bill Murray and Christopher Walken on his official Facebook page. Over the past few days, the filmmaker has released even more behind-the-scenes images, featuring Scarlett Johansson voicing her role as Kaa in the recording booth, as well as Kermit Ruffins, Bill Murray, Christopher Walken and the filmmaker himself. We also get a behind-the-scenes shot of newcomer Neel Sethi on the set, portraying Mowgli.

These images come just a few days after Disney unveiled new concept art and the logo for this adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's beloved novel, which centers on Mowgli, a young boy who is raised in the woods by wolves and goes on a journey of discovery when he's forced to abandon his own home. Neel Sethi will be the only actor seen in live-action, with the rest of the characters portrayed through CGI. What isn't known yet is if this adaptation will retain the musical elements of Disney's original animated classic, The Jungle Book.

The confirmed voice cast includes Scarlett Johansson (Kaa), Idris Elba (Shere Khan), Bill Murray (Baloo), Christopher Walken (King Louie), Lupita Nyong'o (Raksha) and Giancarlo Esposito (Akela). Take a look at the photos below, and stay tuned for more images as director Jon Favreau continues production on The Jungle Book, which is set for release on October 9, 2015.
