No longer a secret thanks to a loud headline from The Hollywood Reporter, The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence recently filmed a surprise cameo for the comedy sequel Dumb and Dumber To, which is currently shooting in Atlanta. Oddly enough, the actress' role was foreshadowed by her January appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, where she revealed that the original Dumb and Dumber is one of her favorite movies of all time. Jennifer Lawrence is playing a younger version of Kathleen Turner's character, who we first reported on back in August. While the character's identity has not been confirmed, it is possible that both Jennifer Lawrence and Kathleen Turner are playing Freda Felcher, the girl Lloyd (Jim Carrey) slept with while she was dating Harry (Jeff Daniels), who is mentioned in the original Dumb and Dumber.
Lawrence is in currently in Atlanta shooting The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, and sources say that the entire cast of the Lionsgate sequel paid a visit to this comedy sequel's set.
Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels return as Lloyd and Harry, who hit the road to find Harry's long-lost daughter, who is in need of a kidney transplant. The cast also includes Brady Bluhm, Laurie Holden, Rachel Melvin, Steve Tom and Rob Riggle.
Jennifer Lawrence will next be seen in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire this November, and in American Hustle on Christmas Day.
