Saoirse Ronan is also being eyed for a supporting role in director Darren Aronofsky's Biblical epic.

Jennifer Connelly is in talks to star in Noah for Paramount Pictures and director Darren Aronofsky. The actress will reunite with Russell Crowe, her co-star from the Oscar-winning A Beautiful Mind.

Paramount is also showing interest in Saoirse Ronan for a supporting role, although no details were given regarding her character. It isn't clear if an offer has been made to the actress yet. Jennifer Connelly will play Naameh, the wife of Russell Crowe's title character.

Darren Aronofsky will direct from a screenplay he co-wrote with Ari Handel. It is said this drama will be an edgier version of the Biblical tale, which will highlight Noah's love of alcohol and wine.

Production is scheduled to begin in June.

Noah was released March 28th, 2014 and stars Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Ray Winstone, Anthony Hopkins, Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, Douglas Booth, Nick Nolte. The film is directed by Darren Aronofsky.
