The news that production has already started is somewhat surprising, since the sequel just landed director Sean Anders eight days ago, replacing original Horrible Bosses director Seth Gordon.
Horrible Bosses writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein wrote the screenplay, although no plot details were released at this time. The original comedy, which took in over $200 million worldwide from a $35 million budget, followed three friends (Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis) who hatch a plan with a mysterious hitman (Jamie Foxx) to kill their wretched bosses.
New Line Cinema hasn't issued a release date for the sequel at this time, so stay tuned for more information.
Horrible Bosses 2 comes to theaters November 26th, 2014 and stars Chris Pine, Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day, Jason Bateman, Christoph Waltz, Kevin Spacey, Jennifer Aniston, Jamie Foxx. The film is directed by Sean Anders.
