This one's not being kept under wraps. Quite a few photos have flooded out of the The Amazing Spider-Man 2 set that reveal Jamie Foxx and his look as Electro. The actor has donned blue full-body make-up to play Maxwell Dillon, a lineman for an electric company who is struck by lightning while doing maintenance work, which causes a mutagenic change in his nervous system giving him control of vast amounts of energy. He is set to become one of Spider-Man's greatest adversaries. As you can see by the following pictures, he is taking on a look that is quite different from the comic books.

By request of the studio, these images have been removed.

The actor had lights connected to his dirty black hoodie that cause his face to glow. The original Electro wore a green and yellow suit, but he has been updated for a more contemporary, darker feel. This scene was shot in Times Square, which made it difficult to keep away the paparazzi, no matter how badly the filmmakers wanted to keep Jamie Foxx's look concealed.

This is what Foxx had to say about playing the character.

"I'm going to keep it close to the chest but I followed the Spider-Man comic books. And I would watch the television show growing up. It's a blessing. It's incredible. Especially for my little daughter, who is there for the make-up tests and everything. It's another testament to Quentin Tarantino because without Django, I wouldn't be doing Spider-Man.'"
