James Gandolfini, who starred as Tony Soprano on David Chase's hit HBO series The Sopranos, will star in David Chase's feature directorial debut, Twylight Zones.

The drama is set in 1960s New Jersey and centers on Douglas (John Magaro), a timid teenager who comes out of his shell and gains attention as the lead singer of his rock band, The Twylight Zones. James Gandolfini will play Douglas' father, who is repulsed by his son's rock and roll ways.

James Gandolfini is also in final talks to join two more projects, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, and Cogan's Trade. Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock, and John Goodman star in Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, which centers on a young boy who finds a key left behind by his dead father, who passed away in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. James Gandolfini will play the friend of the boy's mother (Sandra Bullock), who he meets in a support group. Brad Pitt stars in Cogan's Trade as Andrew Cogan, an enforcer investigating the robbery of a high-stakes poker game. James Gandolfini is playing an alcoholic hitman who is hired by Cogan.

James Gandolfini is said to be juggling all three movies over the next few months, although specific production start dates were not released.
