Director James Cameron has brought on Josh Friedman, who created Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, to work on the screenplay for Avatar 2.

Back in May, Avatar star Zoe Saldana revealed that James Cameron was almost finished with the screenplays for both Avatar 2 and Avatar 3, which are slated to shoot back-to-back in 2014. It isn't known if Josh Friedman will be working on the Avatar 3 script as well.

Avatar stars Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana are expected to reprise their roles in both sequels, although no cast members have been confirmed at this time.

Josh Friedman's other writing credits include The Black Dahlia, War of the Worlds, and Chain Reaction. He also wrote the Locke & Key pilot script, and served as an executive producer on the Fox series The Finder.
