Marvel Studios is definitely putting Thor 2 on the fast track, with director Alan Taylor locked in and screenwriter Robert Rodat coming aboard for a rewrite. Actress Jaimie Alexander confirmed she will reprise her Sif role from Thor in the sequel. While she hasn't officially signed on, she has had discussions about returning. The actress also talked about how she wants to see Sif and Thor's relationship evolve in Thor 2.

"I'm a comic book nerd at heart, so I'd like to see the relationship between Thor and Sif progress. Whether or not they do that, we're not sure yet. We'll see. I think that element will be in there, but I don't know how much."

This basically echoes her sentiments regarding Thor 2 from our interview back in September, where she also discussed the possibility of popping up in Marvel's the Avengers. It seems nothing has changed since then, regarding an appearance in Marvel's the Avengers, but the actress remains cautiously optimistic.

"I can't tell you. Sometimes you never know. It'll be funny. They'll call you and they'll do a post-credits scene and you go, 'Oh, so everything I said in interviews is completely wrong.' So you never know!"

The actress also spoke about Thor 2 director Alan Taylor, and what he brings to the table for this superhero sequel.

"We just got Alan Taylor from Game of Thrones to direct, so I'm very excited. I'm excited to see what he brings. Game of Thrones is great. The style and the lighting and the tone of it, everything about it is so unlike anything you see on TV these days. He's got a great history of directing comedic bits and action bits, and that's something our movie definitely has."
